Global First in Philadelphia Neighborhood Tavern! Bar Introduces Revolutionary New Product That Eliminates Bacteria at the Soda Gun

Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) April 26, 2012

For Pete's Sake Pub in Philadelphia- a reknowned local eatery and drinking establishment and a local sports team fan-favorite. Back in January the owner, Peter Quinn, had a visit from the Health Department and, as usual, passed with flying colors...all except for their soda guns. He was given a warning and told to have them ship-shape in 30 days 'or else'. So he set about looking for a solution knowing that they are typically "difiicult to clean" he said "and even when you try, you're not sure they are sanitary for long afterward. They are dark, wet and sugary so you know they are havens for bacteria"

A week later he found a product called BevDok on the internet introduced to the US market by Ellickson USA, the people who brought us the self serve draft beer tables. He called the company and they sent him two boxes that he self-installed in minutes for both soda guns. "It has completely eliminated the bacteria build up in the gun nozzle and it rinses the gun in between every use so it's totally clean all the time. It costs me about $ 1 per day, well worth the money. It's just one less thing to worry about every day"

Ellickson CEO/CMO Declan Duggan said "Soda guns are the dirty little secret in the industry. They are shockingly unhygenic in most cases that we have seen in-person and until we developed the BevDok unit there was no effective, daily means of sanitizing them. In most cases they are either ineffectively maintained or not at all causing a nasty build up in the gun nozzle. Every soda poured has to come through that nozzle so it really is a problem that needs to be fixed and we believe we have the product that does just that".

According to Mr Duggan Ellickson also claims some beneficial side effects to a sanitized soda gun. Prolonged carbonation, crisper taste and overall perceived drink quality. If that is the case then surely that must lead to increased sales?

"We don't have empirical evidence of that just yet as we just recently launched the product but common sense would suggest that" he added with a smile. It seems like they are certainly onto something.

Headquartered in Timonium, MD, Ellickson USA, a subsidiary of Irish Company Ellickson International, was founded in 2009 and provides innovative technologies that enhance the commercial performance and social dynamic of bars, restaurants, hotels and an array of hospitality businesses. Working closely with the hospitality community and world-leading brands including Marriott, Starwood Resorts, MGM Properties, Diageo & Dave & Buster's. Ellickson USA supports on-premise owners and beverage brands in several exciting ways: the companys flagship offering, the Draft Table beer dispensing system provides marketing impetus, waste reduction and competitive advantage. Bevdok is the company's latest product introduction poised to deliver strong results against the unsolved, industry-wide issue of unsanitary soda gun dispensers. It's the first and only automated soda gun sanitizer in the world today. Check it out at http://www.cleansoda.com
