I purchased this TV to replace a 10 inch analog TV mounted under a cabinet in our kitchen. I have it mounted instead from the wall behind,using an articulating wall mount. I am generally pleased with the TV. On the positive side I am able to connect directly to my cable without a cable box since it has a QAM tuner. On the negative side the picture is not as good as other LCD TV's that I have looked at. In particular, the analog stations are much poorer in quality than my old analog TV produced. The HD channels are much better but still lack the black contrast of other sets. Interestingly, my cable channel is not available in HD without purchasing an upgrade package. I have only the basic cable service but the network channels are digital. The response to the color adjustment and audio controls is dismal. Almost no effect. The sound is 'tinney' and no amount of adjustment corrects this. As for other common limitations of LCD TVs, the viewing angle is critical. The screen arrived...

What's with the people who don't own this TV bashing it?? Get off the internet, put down your conspiracy books and do something productive in society.

Is this TV worth $147. ABSOLUTELY. Are there better TVs around the $300 price point, YES

I would pay up to probably $250 for this TV.

That has NOTHING to do with picture quality (as it's fantastic) or the sound quality of the built in speakers (some of the best I've heard on new TVs). I would pay UP TO $250 simply because it's thinker than most of the newer TVs.

I almost didn't jump on the lighting deal because of this (my wife and I bought it for our 24' Travel Trailer), but she talked me into it and I am super glad she did.

And now I have to say those dreaded words no man likes to say to his wife..."you were right honey". GAH!

But she was. If you can snag this for -$250, do it.

Review : TFT display, poor sound but good!
This screen display isn't going to win any awards, but at this price is worth it!! The sound sucks but if you have your own sound system then it won't matter. Its a tft display so don't expect a high gloss display. It also has a poor viewing angle but head on it looks wonderful. Dark blacks rich color when viewed head on. It's once again TFT so it has a limited viewing angle but when hooked up to a computer via hdmi it makes a wonderful 1080 display. Text is clearly defined being tft (the perk).

So to recap. Bad sound, limited viewing angle. Good colors and blacks, nice design, large screen, great as a computer monitor with solid text reproduction. For the sub 300 price its hard to beat!
